Omrah & Hajj Terminal station building designated for Umrah and Hajj at Medina Airport was designed in 2006 AD. The station building is considered an extension of the main building, as it plays a vital role during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. The building contains 20 ticket offices and waiting areas, with two floors for administrative offices. The design features a decorative glass facade and metal panels aimed at reducing the heat load resulting from sunlight, with the possibility of exploiting natural air movement and interior lighting. The building is located at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport and covers an area of 9,000 square meters. It is owned by the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority and its construction was completed in 2006.
